Ms. Emrich-Fisher has been a soloist in the Cantata Singers Chamber and Main Series.  Her performances have been broadcast on WERS and on WCRI.  She can be heard on the Newport Baroque recording of “Dido and Aeneas,” on which Ms. Emrich-Fisher sang the role of sailor and second witch.  Most recently, she was hired by Boston Ballet for their acclaimed production of Mendelssohn’s Midsummer Night’s Dream under the direction of Maestro Jonathan McPhee.

Ms. Emrich-Fisher is the Alto for the Libella Quartet, with whom she recently appeared at WGBH’s All-Clascical Festival. As a chorus member, she has performed with the Handel and Haydn Society and the Cantata Singers, Boston Modern Orchestra Project, Boston Ballet, the Boston Bel Canto Opera, the Bronx Opera, Golden Fleece Opera and the Lorelei Ensemble.  In 2007, she traveled to London with the Handel and Haydn Society to sing Haydn’s The Seasons at the BBC Proms under the direction of Maestro Sir Roger Norrington.

Ms. Emrich-Fisher holds a Master’s Degree from the Longy School of Music with distinction and a Bachelor’s Degree from New England Conservatory with honors.  She is a former faculty member of the Allegro Music School and the Winchester Community Music School.  She is currently a Teaching Artist for Cantata Singers’ Classroom Cantatas and maintains a private voice studio.

       German Mezzo-soprano Carola Emrich-Fisher enjoys an active performing career in New England and abroad.  “A mezzo of theatrical invention and clear tone” (The Natick Bulletin), Ms. Emrich-Fisher is a frequent recitalist in the Boston area and has presented solo recitals at venues such as the German Embassy (New York City), the Peabody Essex Museum, Middlebury College (VT), Pepperdine University’s Recital Hall (CA), the Museum of the American Piano (NYC) and Stummsche Reithalle (Neunkirchen, Germany), among many other Boston venues.
